City and club
The dome and lily bring together Florence's space and the emotion of supporting a team. We explore how the city's history, culture and daily life help us understand the club beyond the image of its stadium.
Football leads us to the city. The city leads us to stories. ViolaPedia connects Fiorentina's daily life with the memory of the people, places and objects that shape its world.
Explore our symbol ↓ViolaPedia is an independent portal dedicated to Fiorentina and Florence. It is for those who want to follow today's events and understand the meaning behind the club's colours.
We bring news and match reports together with an encyclopaedia of players, seasons, rivalries and memorabilia. Beyond the score, we look at the person; beyond the table, the context; beyond the shirt, the story in its colours, fabric and details.
It is a shared space for supporters, collectors and readers who find something personal in the Viola. You might start with the latest match and discover an old crest, a forgotten player or an architectural detail of Florence.
Our logo can be read layer by layer. Select a point or theme to explore how football meets the city and the idea of an encyclopaedia.
The dome and lantern evoke Florence's skyline and the monumental silhouette of Santa Maria del Fiore. They give the symbol a specific home. Fiorentina belongs to the city, its rhythm, memory, art and daily life.

“Viola” points to purple and the club's identity. “Pedia” brings the idea of an encyclopaedia: organising, connecting and discovering information. Together they name a place where a supporter's passion becomes a documented, well-told story.
Bold, compact typography gives the logo the energy of a contemporary portal. The contrast between purple and dark lettering reveals the name's two meanings. Red accents guide the eye and connect the wordmark to the lily. The slogan Il mondo della Fiorentina defines our scope: the entire world of the club.

These contemporary drawings explain the existing symbol and the logic of its layers. They are analytical sketches, not archival designs from the logo's creation.
Illustrative drawings. Guide lines explain the relationships between motifs; they do not define technical standards or official proportions.

The open book suggests continuing research: adding seasons, finding sources and checking stories. A match, player, shirt and archival document can lead to one another.
Stained-glass divisions create one image from many panels. The portal similarly brings together reporting, biography, collections and the reader's perspective. The parts differ in shape but belong to a shared history.
The circle and geometric segments also suggest a football, reminding us that supporters come together through the game. From the Franchi stands to reading a report far away, we experience the same story in different ways.
Purple creates recognition and a consistent tone. The red lily provides a focal point, while light lines organise the form. The dark book and second half of the name add weight and clear contrast.
The symbol reinterprets historic motifs in the language of a contemporary portal. It works as a full logo with a slogan and as a small guide through the archive. Its layered meanings invite visitors to return and notice another detail.
We distinguish full career records from matches documented in detail. We state the scope and identify incomplete or conflicting sources, leaving a reference to the original material.
Our reports use verifiable results and events. Reconstructions are labelled. We embed publishers' videos and develop historical records with respect for their sources and context.
